Westie Breeders

 westie breeders

Many owners of Western Highland white terriers would also want to be Westie breeders. A Westie puppy is expensive, so prospective breeders would think that there is a large amount of money are earned by Westie breeders.

However, such thinking is erroneous. Westie puppies seem expensive when bought because of the substantial costs that are involved in producing healthy litters and raising breeding stock of high quality.

Also, Westies produce relatively small litters, while at the same time there are several breeding costs to contend with such as stud fees, veterinary fees, puppy food and vaccinations, deworming, etc.

Considering these costs involved and the time-consuming process of dog breeding, it appears that the venture of Westie breeders isn’t economically viable and that they’re in it not for the money but for the love of it.
