Question - Advice on House Guests coming
Luna is a perfect, friendly dog. However,
we are
going to have house guests in about 6 weeks including a 6 month old
baby.
Other than the normal, common sense issues, any advice? Is there
anything I should think about or prepare for since we have not had any
babies around her (only 4 year olds).
Thanks,
Ann

Only advice I can give
is don't push her out,
Luna has been the baby and like any child with a new sibling will feel
curious.
Monitor at all times and never leave her alone with the baby
but fuss her before the baby and let her know she is loved

I totally
agree with Jayne, certainly never
leave her alone with the baby. I remember when we first introduced Meg
to my new born neice, she was very inquisitive, I held Meg while
letting her sniff Nieves hands and feet, not letting her near her face,
she was so very gentle and once she had a good sniff, she didnt really
bother after that.
The breeder who we got Meg from had a young
daughter, about 3 years old, she was quite rough with the pups which
you would think would put them off kids but Meg has always loved
children, the smaller the better. Luna has had Lucy around her from day
one, I know Lucy isnt a baby but she is still what Luna would probably
class as 'one of the little people'.
I'm sure she will be fine Ann. Let
us know how things go, perhaps a photo or two!!

Super advice
from Jayne Ann
Never ever leave a dog with a baby no matter what breed
children tend to tease the dog with out even knowing it
it's a natural thing to do.
Keep an eye open at all times again never shut Luna out
if a baby came here (which was not often) I would be on my guard at all
times, although Robbie was very docile you just need to be on your
guard without being over powerful as they can pick up on any vibes.
I am sure all will get along. Keep us posted
Mike
