The togetherness

I reprint what I said when Bradley was so poorly:-

'Since last Thursday I have seen the love for Bradley and the care for Pat and Mick unfolding through all your posts and especially today when youwere all waiting for news and there was 9 forum members online together, all refreshing the screen every few minutes, waiting for news. It has beenan incredible example of togetherness across the miles.'

I have been so busy at work last week that I didn't really get a chance to log on and catch up. I felt totally lost not being able to get onto theforum and check on my family, both furry and non furry. I feel so comfortable being here because i know you all care the same way I do.

I love this forum and get withdrawal symptoms when I can't log on every day

Thanks Jeff for bringing us all together

I feel the same as Jean - we have been on the receiving end of all the love and concern of the amazing members of this forum whilstBradley was so poorly. It made us feel so comforted and cared for -I don't know how I would have survived that few days without their support.

This is like a marriage   we are all sharing each others joys as well as the heartache - For Better or Worst - I know that the othermembers are there for me - how amazing.

This is the best chat forum I have ever been on. We are like one big happy family! I think it is great how we are like a support system to one another. It is great that we can share our love for our westies, stories about things happening in our lives, our concerns when things aren't going the way we wish they were, ask for thoughts and prayers when we are ill or one of our family members are, and just to chat about everyday things! I also enjoy that everyone is welcomeand that we have honorary westies... like Sam and Corbie! I am so gladthat I found this forum! It is very addicting!! Thank you all for being likea big family to me!! (hugs to all)

First thing in the morning I used to switch the kettle on, now it's the PC why ? because I want to log in to the crazy about westie forum, to see what my good friends and their westies have been up to, I call them my extended family and after having a dose of the forum, it sets me and my westie up for the day  Which reminds me of this

I feel as if I have gained a completely new set of close friends, and the joy is that they alll have at least one thing in common with me. The love and concern I have received from these people is above and beyond the call of duty, and I just love the forum.

I was not with this forum when Max had his illness last year, more's the pity. I was with the 'other forum' and there is no
comparison.

This is the only place to be for westies and their owners.

I am going to send this to Jeff so he knows just what a special place he has created.

I'm lucky that I have both a westie and lab family! OH said to me yesterday when I was on here waiting for news of
Bradley, why I'm on a westie forum if I don't have a westie...I just grumbled and walked off - didn't want to go into details
of having always had westies in my life and how Corbie is an honourary one  I don't post as much as I would if I had a westie in the house, but I still love being part of this community and reading the posts and how our pups are all growing up together.

On the lab side of things I lost a friend last week in a motorbike accident,I had known him almost 2 years through that forum and he was also a moderator alongside myself on that site. He judged Corbie in the fun dog show at the lab event last summer. He was a really nice guy and a good laugh, a great loss... makes you realise how much like family
these forums can become.

It was certainly a godsend having everyone here when I lost Rufuslast year. Knowing people are thinking of you and sending theirthoughts to you through here is such a great help in difficult times.

I am also very proud to be a member of the “Crazy about westies”forum, as it is a great place in which to “talk” to other westie owners, Some live alone with just their westie for company, and the forum is a wonderful place in which to join in with all the “gossip” fun, and

health related issues that a westie may get through life,

“A friend in need, is a friend indeed” and on this forum we have

many sincere friends who have the West Highland Terrier at heart

The Crazy About Westies forum is a lifeline. I am unable to pursue a wide social life due to health problems, but through 'Crazy' the internet brings friends to me; like-minded friends, people who are loving andkind, tolerant and accepting, helpful and fun loving.

It is a lovely community, one where you never feel alone and can alwaysfind helpful advice , friendly chat and learn about other countries andcultures from the cosmopolitan range of members.
