Westie Puppy Sleeping Through The Night |
|
This is one of the recent posts from our Westie Forum It was posted by Alyse, one of our new members and it concerens her Westie puppy sleeping through the night. She is not getting much herself and it is affecting everyone in her home. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dulce is only about 14 weeks old, and we've had her for about 6 days now. I know it takes time to get her trained to sleep through the night, but I could really use some expert advice on the subject, so that she is not barking at 3:45 or 4:30 am. She falls asleep for the final time at night somewhere between 10:30 and 11:30, but then is up before the sun, and then sleeps for about an hour at a time or so sporadically throughout the day. HELP!!!
I know that having a puppy is just like raising a baby, and that they get up at all hours throughout the night, but will this ever regulate? And if so how long will it take? Will we have to adjust elements in her daily routine to keep her from waking up at 4am? I could use all the advice I can get right now, because a lack of sleep from everyone in the house is not looking too good right now. ---------------------------------------------- see the full replies on our Westie Forum More great information inside members forum. part of the benefits of being a member. Lessons learnt from a Westie |
I read this somewhere and it applys so much to our Westie.

Or if you dance in a circle, beg, roll over many times a row good things come your way..... from Di (who by the way, is not doing a lot of dancing and waddles a lot.) Our Westie member Betsie has lung cancer |
|
This Crazy About Westies site has some of the most loving and caring members from all over the world. We care deeply about our Westies and each other. Unfortunately one of the messages on the forum was: ----------------- Every one, I've been trying to catch up with what has been going on in here lately. I just got out of the hospital where I've been diagnosed with lung cancer. Next week they are taking out part of my left lung and a lymph node where the cancer has also spread. ----------------- The support of messages and prayers are many on the forum. It is lovely to see and it is nothing more than i would have expected. Life knocks at all of our doors. Appreciate your health please and if you have love, hold unto to it. It is so precious in a forever changing world. Try and be kind to those that you meet. In most cases they are fighting the hard battle of life. |

Member's Feedback
The Crazy About Westies forum is a lifeline. I am unable to pursue a wide social life due to health problems, but through 'Crazy' the internet brings friends to me; like-minded friends, people who are loving and kind, tolerant and accepting, helpful and fun loving.
It is a lovely community, one where you never feel alone and can always find helpful advice , friendly chat and learn about other countries and cultures from the cosmopolitan range of members.
